In collaboration with NERSC-Lawrence Berkeley National labs, CQE partner QuEra brings a call for access to neutral atom quantum computer

Proposals due August 30

CQE corporate partner QuEra Computing and the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) at the US Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is seeking proposals to conduct research on Aquila, the neutral atom analog quantum computer developed by QuEra. It is an open call and is not limited to current NERSC users.

Proposals are due August 30. Information can be found on NERSC's website.

According to NERSC, proposals will be evaluated on feasibility of the proposed research, alignment with the capabilities and the amount of neutral atom quantum hardware resources available, and benefits to current or future DOE Office of Science research objectives. Projects must be executed within a nine-month performance period starting on October 1, 2024 and ending on July 1, 2025.

QuEra is the latest CQE partner to offer quantum researchers no-cost access to their systems. As part of the EDA-designated Bloch Quantum Tech Hub, the Chicago Quantum Exchange, qBraid, and IonQ have offered no-cost access to the IonQ Aria quantum system via the qBraid platform.
