- Title:
- Quantum transport in 2D superconductors, insulators, and semiconductors
- Description:
-
The advent of two-dimensional (2D) materials and their heterostructures has ushered in a new era for exploring the interplay between quantum confinement, electronic interactions, topology, and symmetry. Here I will first present our recent works in twisted bilayer graphene, including experimental demonstration of the resolution of the paradox of slow Fermi velocity by quantum geometry, and our recent observation of correlated insulating states at fractional fillings in large angle twisted bilayer graphene. In the second half of the talk, I will present our recent works in 2D metal chalcogenide semiconductors, such as the giant tunability of inter-subband transitions in InSe, and the observation of quantum octets in few-layer PdSe2.
