- Title:
- Solving Constrained Optimization Problems on Quantum Computers
- Description:
-
Abstract: Combinatorial optimization is widely believed to be one of the most promising applications domains for quantum computers. At the same time, commercially relevant optimization problems in general have complex constraints that may be hard to encode on quantum hardware. In this seminar, Ruslan Shaydulin, Vice President - Applied Research Lead at JPMorgan Chase & Co., will discuss the challenges associated with solving practical optimization problems on quantum computers and present some recent results towards that goal.
In addition to the seminar, there will be opportunities for in-person drop-in informal interviews from 2:00 - 5:00 pm in ERC 381 on the University of Chicago campus.
This seminar is open to CQE Members, Partners, and Trainees. To request the Zoom link for this event, contact quantum@uchicago.edu.
