APS Conference

Join the Chicago Quantum Exchange’s members and partners at the 2022 APS March Meeting in Chicago, IL. 

The CQE has reserved the Prairie Room at McCormick Place Convention Center, conveniently located next to the bridge connecting to the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. This space will be open to CQE members, partners, and trainees from Sunday, from 4 – 7pm, through its close on Friday. The room will provide coffee, opportunities for casual gatherings, and more formal programming for all CQE members and partners. 

During daytime hours, the room will be divided into small meeting spaces that CQE members and partners can reserve to conduct job interviews, etc. Please contact quantum@uchicago.edu with any questions or inquiries.

• Participants: CQE Members and Partners are invited to a networking reception with colleagues from across the CQE community (APS badge or member / partner ID is required). 

Wednesday, March 16: NSF Quantum Leap Challenge Institutes Reception 

• Time: Wednesday evening, time 6:00 - 8:00 pm

• Time: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday ,March 14 through Wednesday, March 16 and again Friday, March 18. On Thursday, March 17 the room will be available from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.

This convening is open to all invitees who are compliant with UChicago vaccination requirements and, because of ongoing health risks, particularly to the unvaccinated, participants are expected to adopt the risk mitigation measures (masking and social distancing, etc.) appropriate to their vaccination status as advised by public health officials or to their individual vulnerabilities as advised by a medical professional. Public convening may not be safe for all and carries a risk for contracting COVID-19, particularly for those unvaccinated. Participants will not know the vaccination status of others and should follow appropriate risk mitigation measures.
