Title:
A Basic Introduction to Quantum Concepts
Description:

Russell R. Ceballos will provide an introduction to the basic concepts and phenomena of quantum information science and engineering (QISE) utilizing innovative examples and pedagogical best practices at the undergraduate level that leverages both game theory, as well as game design theory, that have been developed as part of QuSTEAM, an NSF-funded quantum education initiative. If time permits, Ceballos will provide a very high-level overview of what a quantum communication network is, focusing on applications that would be possible if we had access to such a quantum internet, as well as potentially discuss how QuSTEAM is developing pedagogical best practices to introduce these concepts and applications at the undergraduate level.
