Algorithms and Applications with Quantum and HPC

When:
Tuesday, October 7, 2025 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Where:
1201 E 60th St., David Rubenstein Forum at the University of Chicago, Room 602, Chicago, IL 60637
Description:

Please join us for an in-person workshop on Algorithms and Applications using integrated Quantum and High Performance Computing systems.

In this workshop, we would like to discuss how we can use both quantum and HPC for computation, what algorithms and SW tools are available now to use quantum and HPC integrated systems, and will be needed for the future. We will introduce the latest quantum-HPC algorithms and to-be-published results from the IBM and RIKEN collaboration using the IBM Quantum System Two co-located with the Fugaku Supercomputer at RIKEN, as well as the new software tools available for integrated quantum and HPC systems. The team computed the ground state energy for Fe4S4 beating the accuracy of the current state-of-the-art classical results.

You may find the agenda and RSVP here.

We request the following type of representation from your organization:

  • A computational scientist or researcher with domain expertise in the organization’s industry
  • A business executive or technology strategist focused on R&D, innovation, or data science for the organization
  • For academic attendees, we request active researchers in the domains of High-Performance Computing, Quantum Computing, Algorithms, and Computational Science.

Please feel free to reach out to Ruchi Pendse (ruchi.pendse@ibm.com) for further questions.
